|Maarten van Walstijn is a graduate of the Institute of Sonology in The Hague (The Netherlands). He received a PhD from the University of Edinburgh in 2002, and was post-doctoral research assistant in Edinburgh from 2001 to 2003. Currently he is Lecturing in Music Technology at the Sonic Arts Research Centre at Queens' and the School of Electric and Electronic Engineering of Queen's University Belfast. He conducts research in the field spanned by the disciplines of acoustics, music, and engineering and is working on a variety of related topics, including physical modelling of musical instruments, acoustic measurement methods, room acoustics and sound spatialisation.
