Illusion of Control
"Illusion of Control" is a work for pipes, saxophones, electronics and visuals commissioned by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
Website for the project. It involved film maker Brian Cullen (UK), Uilleann piper Ivan Goff, (New York), composer/digital artist Pedro Rebelo (SARC, Belfast), and saxophonist/improviser Franziska Schroeder (SARC, Belfast). See here for Publicity Text.

Net vs. Net Collective
A networked concert involving 5 sites (website):
The "Net vs. Net Collective" presented a networked concert with music composed and performed by several of the most prominent practitioners of the art of network music around the world. Remote acoustics, distributed animated scores, virtual worlds and mechanical remotely controlled pianos are among the repertoire. Several interconnected ensembles of acoustic and electronic instruments took take place in this unique transcontinental event. Several years of research by the SoundWIRE group at CCRMA, Stanford University, powers up the
technology and the music of this concert. Pieces by Pauline Oliveros (New York), Chris Chafe (Banff, Canada) Pedro Rebelo, Franziska
Schroeder, Justin Yang (Belfast), Mark Applebaum, Juan-Pablo Caceres, Fernando Lopez-Lezcano, Robert Hamilton (Stanford) and Alain Renaud (Bournemouth, UK) will be featured.

Droniphonia has polytonal drones continually morphing timbres, volumes and fundamentals moving in space. Networked musicians (Belfast, Banff and Troy NY) listen to the drones and develop gradually overlapping improvised sounds and phrases - first solo and then between two or three players at a time in a slowly growing density and texture. Different musical characters appear unexpectedly from time to time out of no where on a one time basis. Finally all players weave their way in and out of the droneophony sharing the unknown finale.

24 Fragments Event
(Final Performance for the Fragmented Orchestra Event)
MiSS Four - An improvisatory challenge from the Sonic Arts Research Centre
Sound artist Paul Stapleton, violinist Gascia Ouzounian and improvisers Pedro Rebelo and Franziska Schroeder teamed up for a feast of sonic explorations during the 24 Fragments event. The four musicians are all academic staff at Queen's University Belfast’s School of Music and Sonic Arts. What unites these four improvisers is their penchant for contemporary, intermedia, improvised, and electronic musics as well as their shared theoretical interest in networked music, virtual environments, social web technologies, the body in performance, performative research methods, and sound art.
